Congratulations to Susie Meares for becoming the 2019 North Shore District Singles Runner-up.
After playing 4 quality matches over 2 days, Susie earned her place in the final against Di McBryde from St Ives. Susie was trailing 1:13 but she fought back strongly catching up to 17:20. In the end, Di proved to be better on the day and claimed the title by winning 25:17.
It was a great effort by Susie who had won all the matches against Sue Addison, Jenny Palmer, Julie Hayden and Louise Hamshere who are seasoned bowlers with many more years of bowling experience than her. She pulled it through with her steely composure, focus and determination.
